On October 8th, 2017, three members of our team did a preliminary paranormal investigation of Castle Hall in Goldsboro, MD. After photographing the basement and the first floor of the house my camera card blinked FULL even though I had previously cleared the card before the investigation. We also experienced other malfunctions of our equipment, such as batteries being drained - batteries that had been replaced that morning. The second floor was warm, and we soon found ourselves dripping with sweat. That is, until we experienced icy chill that caused the hair on our arms to stand on end and our meter to spike from 1 to 5. Though this happened more than once, it was not frightening or negative. But rather resembling a curious and illusive spirit, flitting from one room to the next, maybe even a bit frightened. Despite our initial setbacks, our preliminary walk-through was extremely exhilarating.
When we returned home, as I listened to the audio a soft voice whispered from beyond confirming that we had not been alone. Another, that of a man, sent a chill up my spine.
Since our walk-through, we have returned to Castle Hall on three other occasions.

Earlier in the day, while we were in the upstairs bathroom the meter began bouncing between 1 and 4 milligauss. Initially, we considered that something electrical might have been causing the spike. This was the only room upstairs that had electricity. Later, I went back to the bathroom to see if there was any change in the meter. This time, it registered no more than 1. Shortly after, when we were standing in the room next to the bathroom discussing this, there was an electrical charge in the air, all three of us suddenly felt goose bumps, and the meter suddenly started bouncing between 1 and 4 milligauss. On the audio recording, an unidentified woman can be heard over our voices approximately 3 seconds in.
Terry says,”Like lots of goose bumps.” Then, I say, “Right now.” We both say, “Yes.” You can hear the female voice over mine as I am saying, “As soon as I walked through…”

XCAM: This is an anomaly that our team acquired at Castle Hall on Friday evening. We set up the XCam on the second floor so that it was facing the bathroom door on the right, and a closet door on the left. This is where our meter spiked and the hair stood up on our arms during our preliminary investigation.
Initially, our anomaly was very shy and took a long time to make itself known, then disappeared when I tried to take its photograph, and again when Dana attempted to approach it. It returned, however, and stayed with us for a long time.

Video: This is best if listened to with headphones. Terry and I set up an Infrared camcorder, a digital recorder, Boobear, and several trigger items, then we joined Dana on the second floor. In this video Boobear asks, "Can you tell me a secret?" A loud thump follows, a few unidentified sounds, then a child's voice. Boobear says, "What? Did you say something?" The voice can still be heard in the background. Boobear continues, "Can you say it again, please?" A child's voice says, "I'm sad." About 3 minutes prior to this Boobear says that it's gotten warm. In recordings prior to this Boobear says that it's cold. As the night progressed it did get colder, not warmer.

XCam: We captured a red Anomaly on our XCam, standing in front of the small bookcase. It had been with us for several minutes. When Anissa returns to the room from the right side of the screen, she is blue. As she walks past the anomaly, it latches onto her, and she turns red. I found this really interesting. In the previous 10 minute recording, there were no changes or interference when people walked between the anomaly and the XCam. It remained in the same place - in front of the bookcase. But watch what happens when Anissa walks past.

XCam: When the words axe, chest, tool and knot are voice through the Ovilus the floor turns red and an anomaly is acquired, appearing in a horizontal position on the floor.
